Why is GB Studio running Pro Tools HD2 without a big mixing desk? Well simply it means total automation of all levels, pan, effects and EQ settings. Pro Tools HD is the industry standard used by Abbey Road, Air London and all the top studios in the world.

What does this mean for the client?

  • It means you can start a song one day and finish it three weeks later and remix for the album two months later with all your mix information stored. So there is no studio time lost in setting up the mixing desk again.
  • It means you can use expensive sounding EQ on all your tracks.
  • Also you don't need four pairs of hands on the desk for each mix.
  • No more "That doesn't sound the same as when we were in here last" etc.
  • If your record company want the vocal a bit louder it can be done quickly without having to set up the mixer and the patch bay again (which never sounds the same!).
  • It's all 24 bit sparkling quality and you can have up to 128 tracks of audio if you have the ideas to fill them.
